THE SERVANTS OF IMMACULAT HEART OF MARY

SCIM Brothers was officially established in 1949 by the late Bishop Attilio Natale Beltramino Missionary of the Consolata Missionary, with a registration NO. SO 11030 under the name of SERVI CORDIS IMMACULATI MARIAE (SCIM Brothers) registered by the united republic of Tanzania. After obtaining approval from Rome and the Central Department for spreading the Gospel on 28/02/1949 Prot. No. 517/41. The late Bishop Attilio Natale Beltramino officially established the Society with his document No.36/2 dated 31/05/1949, Tosamaganga in the Catholic Diocese of Iringa in Tanzania, Africa (EAST.AFRICA). The Congregation was under the supervision of Consolata Missionary Priests to continue nurturing it. The Consolata missionaries did excellent work until 1974, when the Late Bishop Mario A. Mgulunde, continued the work of nurturing the Organization.

THE OBJECTIVE OF THE CONGREGATION


This Congregation was first created for the glory of God and to perfect its members by faithfully fulfilling the vows of the Gospel counsel; Chastity (Celibacy), Poverty of the Gospel and Obedience.

To magnify the Glory of God and to sanctify the monks themselves by fulfilling their three vows. CHASTITY, POVERTY OF THE GOSPEL AND OBEDIENCE.

The unique target of the Congregation of SCIM Brothers is to Spread the Catholic Religion through by prayer and by doing the apostolate activities with the great Heart within the capacity of the Congregation and the needs of the Church.
